Reporting to our Test Systems Manager, you will have a 9/80 schedule and a hybrid work option in Torrance, CA.As a Project Engineer, you will:

• Oversee technical, cost and schedule performance for development programs.
• Validate conceptual problem solutions by performing trade studies and analyses.
• Document designs, analyses, and test results with accurate and concise reports.
• Set the direction for the technical engineering team, coordinate a team of designers, drafters, analysts, technicians, and manufacturing engineers.
• Proposal volume development and costing support.
• Be the main technical contact for the customer.
• Occasional travel to support customer meetings and business development needs.Working familiarity with the following is desired:
  • Familiarity with Fault Management design and architecture development
  • Strengths in controls system design
  • Experience in Requirements Management, Verification and Validation Methods, and/or Integration and Test
  • Familiarity with MATLAB, Simulink, and dSpace hardware for system performance and real-time modeling
  • Experience in the aerospace industry
  • Experience with project planning, scheduling and resource loading; experience with MS Project.
  • Experience with EVMS fundamentalsTo be considered for this role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
    • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
    • A minimum of 6 years' experience in design/development engineering work or a Master's Degree in Engineering with 3+ years of design/development engineering work experienceIt'd be great if you also had:
      • Master of Science Degree in Engineering
      • Experience in the aerospace/defense manufacturing industry strongly preferred
