Surgical Tech Location: Lancaster, CA Agency: SnapCare Pay: $1,610 per week Shift Information: Rotating Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Title: ( OR Surg Tech ) - Contract Location: Lancaster, CA Job Details: • Travel - $24 S$650 • Local- $36 • 40 Hours a week Guaranteed • Day Shift • 4 10's • 13 weeks Description of job: The Operating Room (OR) Surgical Technologist is responsible for preparing the operating room, instruments, and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient surgical environment. This role supports surgeons and the surgical team by maintaining sterile technique, anticipating needs during procedures, and ensuring that all surgical instruments and supplies are available and properly handled. Qualifications: *Must have ACLS, BLS, NIHSS and current Tech Certification *Must have 2 years relevant OR experience Ortho and Trauma exp required *Must have 1 year travel experience Holiday work call rotation required Responsibilities: Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies according to procedure requirements. Verify and maintain sterility of instruments, equipment, and field throughout the procedure. Assist surgeons and surgical team members during operations by passing instruments and supplies, anticipating needs, and ensuring smooth workflow. Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures in compliance with facility policies. Handle specimens for laboratory analysis as directed. Clean and restock operating rooms and maintain equipment following procedures. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times. Communicate effectively with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and efficient operations.
