Job Description Job Description Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience required. A full-time Occupational Therapist specializing in school-based therapy is needed in La Mesa, CA, for a contract position running from February 2nd through June 4th (end of the school year). This in-person role involves working onsite at a single school location, providing essential occupational therapy services to students. Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7.5 hours per day, supporting a consistent and structured routine. The position offers a collaborative environment with Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) support and another full-time Occupational Therapist onsite to enhance service delivery and professional growth. Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and interventions tailored to student needs in a school setting Collaborate with educators, families, and school staff to support student progress Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with educational regulations and therapy standards Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to student goal development Utilize evidence-based practices to maximize student functional independence and school participation Qualifications: Valid Occupational Therapist license with applicable school-based certifications Experience working as a school-based OT preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills, especially working within multidisciplinary teams Ability to work onsite full time, no remote work options available Location: La Mesa, California this position requires presence at the designated school site during contracted hours.
