where you come in.We are seeking a motivated System Integration &
Test (SI&T) Engineer to join our Wireless R&D Wireless
Research team in San Diego. As a member of the System Integration &
Test Team, you will be responsible for building cutting-edge
end-to-end prototype systems for wireless technologies such as 6G,
5G NR Sub6 & mmW, WLAN, and applying AI/ML techniques. These
prototype systems focus on proof of concept and key feature
development in the 6G, 5G, and WLAN areas.The candidate will
contribute to key research and development topics in mobile
wireless and WLAN, working with world-class engineering teams to
shape the future of wireless communication. More specifically,
SI&T team members interact closely with systems engineers,
software/hardware developers, and RF engineers to test and evaluate
the end-to-end prototypes. This includes defining test objectives,
writing test plans, executing tests, troubleshooting, and
performing detailed post-processing analysis. The ideal candidate
will have a strong interest in testing, enjoy working in a lab
environment, drive testing (Over the Air testing), be proactive,
and have a hands-on approach to work assignments.Candidates must
have a great interest in new technologies and a willingness to
learn. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required,
and candidates must be able to work well with others in a technical
environment. Some travel for tradeshows and demos may be
required.Minimum Qualifications:--- Bachelor's degree in
Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related
field.Preferred Qualifications:
--- Taking responsibility for own work and making decisions with
limited impact; Impact of decisions is readily apparent; errors
made typically only impact timeline (i.e., require additional time
to correct).
--- Using verbal and written communication skills to convey basic,
routine factual information about day-to-day activities to others
who are fully knowledgeable in the subject area.
--- Completing most tasks with multiple steps which can be
performed in various orders; some planning and prioritization must
occur to complete the tasks effectively; mistakes may result in
some rework.
--- Exercising some creativity to troubleshoot technical problems
or deal with novel circumstances.
--- Using deductive problem solving to solve moderately complex
problems; most problems have defined processes of
diagnosis/detection; some limited data analysis may be required.The
